This is a new, unused, Original HILTI Rubber Shock Absorber (Damping Element) for the Striking Mechanism on the Front Ram for the following models only:
HILTI TE 76, TE 76 ATC, TE 76-P, TE 76-P ATC
Oil heats up during long operating periods of the tool and it becomes aggressive towards this part. The shock absorber inflates its size from the temperature and loses its function to push the strike piston back on time. This causes an imbalance of the motion between the striker and drive piston and can be one of the reasons a connecting rod breaks. A worn out absorber can also be one of the causes for a lower striking force.
