Shipping to the United States, CHANGES DUE TO NEW TARIFF INTRODUCTION AND REMOVAL OF DE MINIMIS LIMITS

To the attention to all buyers from the United States,

XDRILLED store is based in Europe and our so far successful and pleasant relationship with buyers based in the United States reaches new obstacles.

New update on tariffs and international trade:

The U.S. announced the elimination of de minimis treatment, which allows for duty-free entry for shipments under $800 in value, for imports from the European Union as of 29th of August.
Before that, postal shipments under $800 are subject to 0% tariff or $0 per item.

The de minimis exemption is removed, which means that all clients purchasing goods from Europe are now subjugated to paying import duty and other related custom fees.

Any shipment shipped with any of services that enters the United States after August 29th will be charged a specific duty based on the applicable IEEPA tariff applicable to the country of origin of the product:

• Countries with an IEEPA tariff below 16%: USD 80 per item;

• Countries with an IEEPA tariff between 16% and 25% (inclusive): USD 160 per item;

• Countries with an IEEPA tariff above 25%: USD 200 per item.

If a shipment contains products from multiple countries of origin, only the highest IEEPA tariff will be used to determine the duty.

When calculating customs duties, the following factors are taken into account:

• country of origin;

• content of the items;

• value of the shipment;

• HS tariff code - it is mandatory to provide a 10-digit tariff code.
